Giovanna Santoro is an Italian interior architect and artist with over 17 years of practice across Asia and Europe. Her work spans boutique hotels, flagship retail environments, and site-specific artistic interventions — always with the same conviction: that a well-designed space is a form of narrative, and every detail is a sentence in that story.
Born and trained in Italy, she has spent most of her career at the intersection of cultures — in Barcelona, Shanghai, and Hong Kong — absorbing the visual languages of each city and translating them into spaces that feel both locally rooted and globally refined. Her projects have been recognized with the Hong Kong Design Award and featured in AD India and AD China.
Today, Giovanna leads design at Portier Hotels, overseeing boutique hospitality projects across Bali, and Hong Kong — from spatial architecture to brand mascots. She is based between Hong Kong and Milan, and works with clients worldwide who value design that goes beyond aesthetics to create genuine human experience.
